Don’t get me wrong, I love a bargain as much as anyone but I’m sure you are all aware that some of these ‘fantastic deals’ are just not good deals!
TV stations usually show huge riots of people trying to get the best retail deals – pushing and shoving each other to get the product that they desire. We live in a society where such consumerism is considered normal.
Black Friday is always at the end of November and usually just after Thanksgiving – it is, as you may expect, an American idea. Many people are off of work during this period and the shops started to offer one day sales. With the increased popularity of online shopping, these offers are now global and often include up to several weeks of offers from many retailers.
This is a great marketing idea for many businesses, enabling them to discount older stock to make way for fresh items. Some businesses will use items that have a short shelf life as free gifts to enhance the purchase of another or free postage to entice their buyers to purchase more.
But what about the rest of us?
Those of us who do not have retail businesses.
We run a small business which works with other small businesses. We offer our clients excellent value throughout the year, not just one day on November. We don’t have last season’s stock to sell off cheap. We aim to deliver value for money, excellent customer service and first rate advice every day of the year.
As a business, we will not be joining in with Black Friday deals, this year, or any other year. We do however, offer a free initial consultation to clients, but this is available through out the year. We are more than happy to discuss your marketing options with you, guide you as to the right content to produce to make you appear the expert in your field and design some eye catching graphics to get your business noticed. Email us on info@mood-design.co.uk to book your free appointment.
