In their latest announcement, LinkedIn have decided that groups are valuable to them, so they are making changes to bring them back into the fold!
From 15th February 2018 the i0S app for groups will no longer be supported. But don’t worry too much about this, it will not affect your existing group memberships or contributions.
So, what else is new?
You’ll will also be able to post videos into your groups. You will also be able to tag people by @mention, and keep the conversation going by replying to comments.
Their aim is to create a better Groups experience within the primary LinkedIn application. They have indicated that more changes are on the horizon, and updates and improvements will be seen over the coming months.
What now for individuals?
Now is the ideal time to review your profile, ensure all of your information is current and represents you and your business.
What now for businesses?
If you run a business, create header graphics for your employees to use on their profiles, this will ensure brand continuity.
When your business posts an update, why not email your staff, include a link to the article and ask them to share it. But you need to remember, each individual owns their own profile and you cannot enforce this, only encourage it. The easier you make this for your employees, the more likely you are to achieve results.
